Requirements

  • Knowledge of computers, the internet, and commercially available library software
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and techniques of library service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of library materials and resources
  • Creativity to develop and implement library programs and services
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Positive attitude toward library users
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Highly Adaptable with excellent Attention-to-Detail.
  • Critical Thinking Skills.

The Candidate must have Degree or Diploma in Library Science or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution in PNG; experience in similar role is a plus.

Applications must include updated CV and relevant supporting documents, inclusive of transcripts. A recent Medical and Police Clearance is our employment pre-requisite and all shortlisted applicants will be required to present these documents.
