In 1983, the Department of Education endorsed Bambi as one of the first permitted elementary school with 140 children for prep and grade 1.

Indigenous Business Gold Award

In April 2011, the National Development Bank awarded the Indigenous Business Gold Award for outstanding business performance against foreign competition in PNG.

Approved To Cater Grades 8, 10 and 12

In May 2011, the former Secretary for Education, Dr. Joseph Pagelio Approved Certification for Grades 8, 10 and 12 after KC met the basic requirements of the National Department of Education.

Kopkop College is a Permitted Private Educational Institution committed to academic excellence in a traditional and a disciplined family environment.

The College has a Port Moresby Campus and a Kavieng Campus in New Ireland Province. It offers Early Childhood Care and Education to Grade 12 at Port Moresby Campus while Kavieng Campus offers pre-prep to grade 8.

100% Nationally owned and staffed, the school was established in 1983 as Bambi Early Childhood Learning Centre. The educational institution was renamed Kopkop College in May 2006. The school in its 37 years of operation has invested a lot in the development of young Papua New Guineans, whilst equipping local academia’s with great teaching experience and development.

The current leadership has shown considerable expertise in running the school as a sound business with a clear motive for human capital profit as distinct from commercial benefit.

The school is established to provide quality learning opportunities for PNG students, and to promote and enhance essential family values and individual talents.
