Office Manager
Darusilla Migile
Darusilla came to Kopkop College in 2020 as an enrolments officer. She is now the office Admin Manager, and oversees the whole admin operations.
The 29 year old has a diploma Certificate 4 in Accounting, Certificate 3 in Business Administration attained from IEA College of TAFE, Ela Beach Campus. Darusilla is passionate about improvement! “I always work to improve anything and everything whenever or wherever I think there’s a need for improvement, even when everyone else think it’s still okay.”
The Admin Office is the main contact point for parents, staff, students and visitors. It is very important for me to be aware of anything happening in the school or outside but regarding the school so correct information can be given to the respective parties accordingly. I ensure that the admin team work as per the admin workplan and all tasks are completed accurately on a timely manner so reports can be given on time as well. I am proactive and can multi task under pressure in peak periods. I am always ready, willing and able to assist anyone or with anything without hesitation. However, I am honest with myself, if I know I’m unable to assist I will openly announce it so I don’t give false hopes to anyone. I ensure all sick students are attended to by the school nurse but I make sure their parents are notified as soon as students are reported sick and before they are given any medication by the nurse.
Goals as an Admin Manager: I have recently been working as an Admin Office Manager now. Hence, my main goal at the moment would be to get a hang of everything so I can be up to date. Above all, I believe in self-discipline, team work and perseverance. I hope to do my best in ensuring that my team and I can achieve those principles, perform better and break trends together.
Here at Kopkop College: I love the atmosphere and the privilege of working with children. Children are true blessings! When feeling upset, a short conversation with a student or just their smile can brighten up your entire mood. The reason why I applied to Kopkop College in the first place was because I had an awesome experience with Koroboro and I wanted to relive that amazing experience. I also love the family-oriented atmosphere within the staff and management which allows students to feel free to express themselves openly without the fear of being judged. All students are given fair treatment here.
I am inspired by: men and women who go through difficult situations in life but manage to pick themselves up and continue to strive for success with whatever little resources they have without waiting around to be spoon fed.
In my free time: I help run my mother’s SME business called the Central Darkis Mamina Trading where I’m the Finance and Admin Manager.
I love listening to music, playing video games (PS4 to be exact), gardening, cooking and reading ebooks.
My personal motto: Nobody gives a care about you! NEVER wait, help might NOT come!! The best you can do for yourself is pick yourself up, fix your crown, dance in the storm and win while at it…
